RealmVault Fees & Commission Explained
How buyer fees, seller commission, VaultShield, and payouts work on RealmVault — with a link to live rates on the fees page.
RealmVault Fees & Commission Explained
Transparent pricing is part of marketplace trust. This guide explains how RealmVault fees work. For the current numbers, always check the live Fees page — rates can change with plans and promotions.
Quick summary
| Who | What you typically pay |
|---|---|
| Buyers | Listing price (+ any buyer service fee only if it is enabled at checkout) |
| Sellers | Commission on completed sales based on seller plan — no fee just to list |
| Everyone | VaultShield escrow is included in the trade workflow — not a separate “add VaultShield” surcharge on the listing today |
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Any processor amounts appear in checkout before you pay.
Buyers
Right now, RealmVault often runs with no buyer platform fee on checkout — but the authoritative status is on Fees and in your checkout breakdown.
You still:
- Pay through RealmVault checkout
- Have funds held under VaultShield
- Confirm delivery only after you verify the account
- Can dispute with evidence while eligible
Never pay a seller off-platform to “avoid fees.” That removes protection.
Sellers: commission by plan
Sellers are not charged a listing fee to publish. Commission is taken on completed sales, based on your seller plan (free and paid tiers). Catalog defaults are commonly in a roughly 3–12% band depending on plan — your dashboard and the Fees table show what applies to you.
Also today (confirm on Fees):
- No RealmVault withdrawal / payout processing fee on top of commission
- After escrow release, net proceeds go to your Stripe Connect account, then your bank
- Stripe may apply its own bank-payout rules on the Connect side (separate from RealmVault commission)
- Optional boosts / homepage spotlight are paid add-ons — never required to sell
Promotions such as Founding Seller can temporarily override marketplace commission for eligible sellers. Your seller dashboard reflects the active rate after any promo.
What VaultShield costs
VaultShield is the escrow and protection layer — buyer funds held until delivery is confirmed or auto-released. Seller commission (and a buyer service fee only when enabled) helps operate escrow, fraud review, KYC, and support. There is no separate “VaultShield fee” line item added on withdrawals today.
Payout timing
After a successful order:
- Buyer pays
- You deliver
- Buyer reviews / VaultShield timeline completes
- Funds become available per release rules
- You withdraw via Connect
